The King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley, has never been given short shrift within his hefty catalog. When it’s time to upgrade, it happens and Elvis fans are quite happy with what’s made and delivered. RCA has assembled a live set box that featured the audio from 4 shows on the 1972 North American tour.
On December 2, Legacy Recordings will release a 6CD/1BD box with 145 performance tracks, 91 of which have never been previously released. The box will be aptly called Elvis On Tour. The original set was previously released as a film in 1972 and covered his first tour after an 8-year hiatus from the stage. Now, the monumental set is expanded with rehearsal tracks at the RCA Studios, and four full shows (Hampton Roads – April 9, 1972, Richmond – April 10, 1972, Greensboro – April 14, 1972, San Antonio – April 18, 1972). The included Blu-ray features the original film of Elvis On Tour.
