The saxophone is one of expressive instruments of jazz and Rock blends. Over the decades it has added immense subtleties and often helped to enhance a song (there are many instances, but let’s use “Waiting On A Friend by The Rolling Stones. The Sonny Rollins sax part in this song help to ascend the song further than it might have gone without it). One of the great jazz saxophonists was John Coltrane, who enhanced Jazz music with his intimate saxophone style, but passing far too young before Rock had a great chance to sample his style.

On May 20, Atlantic Records will celebrate a 60th Anniversary of My Favorite Things and reissue the John Coltrane classic. For this reissue, the tracks are newly remastered and will be presented in Stereo and Mono versions.

My Favorite Things will be released on 2CD, DD, and 180g-weight 2LP versions. One CD and one LP will feature the Stereo version, whiile the other will feature the Mono version of the album.
