The Fixx started their ’80s run in 1982 with the release of Shuttered Room. But it wasn’t until their 1983 MCA album, Reach The Beach, that the band would gain worldwide attention for their music. With three singles off the album, it was “One Thing Leads To Another” that helped to propel the band to the lofty heights of the charts. After a flurry of albums and several charting singles (that included “Secret Separation”, The Fixx would slow down production to a steady drip. Their last album was Beautiful Friction, released in 2012.
On June 3, The Fixx (in a largely intact peak-era line-up) will release their next album. The new album is being called Every Five Seconds. It will own ten new Fixx compositions, a few of which are now in release. “Closer” is the latest single issue and can be heard below.
Every Five Seconds will be released on CD, DD, and vinyl LP.
