Bauhaus, an important post-punk band from the formative late ’70s, whose peak period from 1978-1983 generated four albums. With those were a series of EPs, and non-album singles that included the memorable “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and “Telegram Sam”. Bauhaus was mostly a UK-beloved band but definitely had a fanbase in the US and other parts of the world. It has been approximately 14 years since anything from Bauhaus has surfaced.
During the pandemic, original Bauhaus band members (Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J, Kevin Haskins) individually recorded parts for a new single, “Drink The New Wine“. That single was released on March 23. Enjoy the track (below) and hope for a new album in the near future.
Bauhaus will tour nine dates in the US beginning on May 14.
