The legacy of Lou Reed is set in stone. His approach and output to Rock has always been unconventional and pushed borders with its sound and lyrics, even by today’s standards. Throughout his long and storied career, he has released albums with Velvet Underground, and his many solo classics. Every one of them were strung with gems.
On April 23 and for RSD, Legacy will release a collectible vinyl LP issue featuring Lou Reed demos. The album will be called I’m So Free: The 1971 RCA Demos. As it’s said, Lou Reed recorded these at his first studio session. But many of the songs were fleshed in future recordings. A quick look (below) at the track list will thrill you if you’re a devoted Lou Reed fan.
Hopefully, after a time, I’m So Free: The 1971 RCA Demos will become available as CD and DD. For the RSD vinyl there will ONLY be 7550 copies available.
