Let’s get the obvious out of the way: Roger Eno is the brother of Brian Eno. Ok. With that, the similarities stop. Brian Eno is an unmatched talent but then again, so is Roger Eno, who brings a different sonic flavor to his compositions. If you haven’t heard of his 1985 EG Records debut, I must ask…why not? Voices is one of the more compelling ambient, piano-based collection of songs that have been released. I revisit it at least once annually. Over time, Roger Eno has released over thirty albums, some collaborations. His last album was Mixing Colours, a 2020 collaboration with Brian Eno.

On April 22, Roger Eno returns to his own world with a new album, which will be called The Turning Year. It will contain fourteen compositions, some revived from earlier incarnations.

The Turning Year will be released via Deutsche Grammophon on CD, DD, and vinyl LP. A single from the album – “The Turning Year” is in current release and can be heard below.
