With the gift-giving holidays around the corner, it’s nice to see a good gift item pop up on the vinyl radar. And if you’re a Billy Joel fan who wants to update your existing – or scattered – vinyl collection, well, then…here you go.

On November 5, Columbia will release a first volume Billy Joel vinyl set called simply, The Vinyl Collection – Vol. 1. Inside will be 9 vinyl LPs covering eight career studio albums, and one live set that will occupy the grooves of 2LPs. Those include:

  • Cold Spring Harbor (1971)
  • Piano Man (1973)
  • Streetlife Serenade (1974)
  • Turnstiles (1976)
  • The Stranger (1977)
  • 52nd Street (1978)
  • Songs In The Attic (1981)
  • Live At The Great American Music Hall (1975)

The vinyl LPs will be pressed on 150g-weight black vinyl. A 50-page booklet with photos, notes, credits and memorabilia from this period of Billy Joel‘s career will be included within the box.
