The Police blended Punk, Pop, Reggae, and New Wave styles to produce a hybrid widely appreciated. With a catalog of five album ranging from 1978 through 1983, and a best-selling live set issued in 1995, The Police left at the top. After their stoppage, they individually took parts in their own projects and collaborations. One of the members, Andy Summers, kept himself musically busy by releasing more than 10 albums. Recently, he released a book – Fretted and Moaning, a collection of 45 short stories.
On October 15, Andy Summers will release a new solo album, an all-instrumental set titled Harmonics Of The Night. The new album will contain 12 new tracks. It is being released via his Andy Summers Music label, which is distributed by UK label, Cargo Records. Harmonics Of The Night becomes a part of an intended trilogy that includes Metal Dog (2015), and Triboluminescence (2017) and is expected to conclude the connective works. The new album will be released on CD, DD, and vinyl 2LP.
