When you put together a wonderfully crafted first album, the only right thing to do is to…well, do it again. This is what Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have elected to do after the success of their first collaboration project, Raising Sand from 2007. Raising Sand won 5 Grammy Awards and endeared fans and critics everywhere. The album enjoyed the success of three singles.
On November 19, Rounder Records will release the duo’s next collaborative effort, Raise The Roof. The new album will feature 12 new cover songs, with one in release to precede the album’s arrival. (“Can’t Let Go” can be heard below.) Once again, noted producer, T Bone Burnett has provided production services for the two singers.
Raise The Roof will be made available on CD, DD, and vinyl 2LP in three different color vinyl sets (Coke Bottle Green, Translucent Yellow, and 180g-weight Black).
