Billy Idol enjoyed success as a singer for Generation X in the late ’70s during the burgeoning punk period. He went solo in the ’80s as New Wave began to take over and peak. With that, Billy Idol produced seven studio albums, four that enjoyed high sales in his peak years. Over that time, he delivered over then popular singles. It’s been almost seven years since Billy Idol has released new music.
On September 17, Billy Idol returns with a 4-track EP, The Roadside. The Roadside is created part and parcel with longtime guitarist, Steve Stevens. The Roadside is being planned for CD, DD, and vinyl EP including a limited edition blue-color vinyl. The album is being released via George Harrison’s reintroduced Dark Horse Records (with Dhani Harrison as label head).
The Roadside provides a fore-running single with “Bitter Taste”, an excellent tune if you would ask me (hear below, and also to the side…over there —->).
