According to tweets from InsideOut music and the band’s official feed, mercurial prog legends Yes will release their new studio album The Quest on the October 1 via InsideOutMusic/Sony Music. Pre-order begins July 23.
The current lineup of the band features Steve Howe on guitar, Alan White on drums, Geoff Downes on keys, Jon Davison handling vocals, and Billy Sherwood on bass. While there presently are no original members in the group, Howe arrives as the senior member, having joined in the early 1970s with the third record, The Yes Album. Howe and Downes also shared time as bandmates in the Drama era of the band and with the offshoot supergroup Asia.
