For a period of 10 years, Emerson, Lake & Palmer ruled the airwaves, sales markets, attendance for stage productions, and fan support. Even a brief hiatus failed to dampen interest. ELP released seven classic albums (not including the important live sets of Pictures at an Exhibition (1971), and Welcome Back My Friends… (1974)) during their initial peak run. Their last peak studio album was Love Beach, issued in 1978. There are three other ELP albums released after Love Beach (one a Emerson, Lake & Powell set). All in all, ELP left behind a strong mark on the legacy of Rock and Roll, particularly in the Progressive genre.
In celebration of 50 years, BMG will release a concentrated celebratory collection of live shows with the original ELP lineup. The shows range from 1970 through 1997, with one show a previously unreleased performance (the Union Hall show in Phoenix, AZ on September 23, 1997). The Boxed collection of five live shows deemed highly representative of the band’s peak will be called Emerson, Lake & Palmer – Out Of This World: Live (1970-1997). These box sets are scheduled for October 29.
Out Of This World: Live (1970-1997) will be issued in two sets – a 7CD Box, and a 10LP Box. Both sets will contain a 32-page glossy photobook with expansive notes and photos. All the shows feature new remastering for the best quality sound. Each LP is packaged as 2LP gatefold sets with flashy artwork to represent each set. Remember, all but one of these shows have been previously released.

Um, I think you mean “deemed” and not “deigned”.
“What’s the meaning of deign?
: to condescend reluctantly and with a strong sense of the affront to one’s superiority that is involved : stoop would not even deign to talk to him. One iconoclastic architect, for example, doesn’t deign to speak of bathrooms.”
Just FYI :) please feel free to delete
Not sure what I was thinking. Thanks for the correction, sir.
Why why why do we have to go on and on with this idea of ELP. There are tons of s/b bootlegs that are not released or remastered. Why the same numerous songs that have been released. Why not put the unreleased songs on several cds and Honor these great musicians. Emerson lake and Palmer were the best on stage and every show had a different flair in music. We can thank Keith Emerson for that.
Here’s an interesting question for you: if Steven Wilson remixed any or all of the ELP titles, what might be your response?
