Following the October 2020 release of Archives, Volume One 1963-1967, the Joni Mitchell Archives will advance to include a second volume period, Joni Mitchell Archives, Volume Two 1968-1971. With this new release, Joni Mitchell will uncover more vault recordings through important years of her recordings. This new 5CD collection (and a limited edition 4000 copies 180g-weight 10LP Box) will issue on October 29.
This 5CD box will assemble with home and studio demos, a handful of outtakes, BBC radio broadcast recordings that include her March 19, 1968 performance at Le Hibou Coffee House (and recorded by Jimi Hendrix), as well as a James Taylor BBC broadcast, and her complete Carnegie Hall debut (which will also be made available as a 3LP standalone package). A Cameron Crowe reflection is part of the set. A booklet is packed in with photos, notes, and more.
In addition to this momentous box, there will be a DD (only) EP of five unreleased tracks from the Blue sessions. This EP will be titled Blue 50 to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of Blue.
