The ’70s UK airwaves were ruled by Slade with five strong albums beginning with Slayed? (1972), which gave up hits like “Gudbuy T’ Jane”, “Mama Weer All Crazee Now”, and ending with Nobody’s Fool (1975) containing hits like “In For A Penny”, and “Nobody’s Fool”. Of course, Slade produced albums before Slayed? and after Nobody’s Fool, but for pure sales and excitement, those five albums and a collection of non-LP singles (“Get Down and Get With It”, “Cum On Feel The Noize”, “Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me”, “Coz I Love You”, “Look Wot You Dun”, and their perennial favorite, “Merry Xmas Everybody”) were pure fun!
In 2019, BMG released a vinyl singles box called Feel The Noize: The Singlez Box. It was filled with ten 7″ vinyl singles from the hey day of Slade. As usual, a box of this kind will sell out. If you were unable to acquire one, you get another opportunity, albeit a very limited opportunity, On June 25, BMG will re-release the Boxed set for North America with only 400 available sets to sell.
