Formed in 1966, Barclay James Harvest helped to carve the niche known as Progressive Rock. The band released their debut album in 1970. By 1972, like so many bands of the time, they had released four strong albums before signing to Polydor Records for another wondrous string of excellent albums that would carry them through much of the 1990s largely intact. Before stopping as an original unit, Barclay James Harvest had released 17 collectible musical gems.

On August 28, Esoteric Records (a subsidiary of the UK label, Cherry Red) will revisit BJH‘s third album, Barclay James Harvest and Other Short Stories (1971) with a 2CD/DVD remaster and remix that features a new Stereo remix, and higher resolution Stereo and 5.1 Surround tracks. 13 bonus tracks will accompany this reissue.   This set is rounded out with an extensive booklet that features a new essay, and a fold-out poster.

Anxiously awaiting further reissues from this band’s extensive catalog.
