4CD Live Box For Zappa/Mothers, The Mothers 1970

The thing on many music lovers’ minds today emanate from the news that a Frank Zappa collection is on the calendar horizon. This collection is a 50th Anniversary Edition (since 50th Anniversary Editions are making their struts down the walkway of Rock n Roll) will provide a great look into a Mothers period circa 1970/1971 on stage.

On June 26, Zappa Records (via UMe) will unwrap a 4CD package of live performance tracks called The Mothers 1970. It will include a whopping smorgasbord of 70 previously unreleased live tracks that featured the musical play of not only Frank Zappa,  but also George Duke, Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman (The Turtles/Flo & Eddie), Aynsley Dunbar, Ian Underwood, and Jeff Simmons. These are representative of an extraordinary collective of extraordinary musicians.

The box will provide a detailed booklet along with the four CDs. Zappa fans be blessed! It will be released on 4CD Box, and as DD.
