As of today, the band Kansas has little of the lineup that produced the  extraordinary classics of Leftoverture (1976), and Point of Know Return (1977). Both were multi-Platinum releases with five hits between them. (I preferred Song For America best!) Only Phil Ehart, and Rich Williams remain from the classic lineup.

On June 26, Kansas returns with The Absence of Presence. It is a new album with nine new songs. To date, the tracklist is unavailable. A single is scheduled for April. The Absence of Presence will be released on CD, DD, and vinyl LP.

Phil Ehart has praised the new album saying, “This sounds like Kansas.”
