With barely months having passed from their Slide It In remix, Whitesnake is revisiting another classic with a new 30th Anniversary set and a brand new remaster. Slip Of The Tongue was originally released in 1989 and now it’s time to remember it with a tray of tantalizing reissues.
On October 4, a 6CD/1DVD Super Edition will hit the shelves and will feature the smorgasbord of original album remastered, live performances (Live at Donington 1990), the add of the Wagging Tongue Edition (a 1989 LP-only collector’s exclusive with added Coverdale interview commentary about every track), demos, remixes, re-records, the Monitor Mixes, the A Trip To Granny’s House Sessions Tapes, as well as video of the Donington show in 5.1 Surround, three music videos from the album, an exclusive new video (“Sweet Lady Luck”), a Behind the Scenes segment, and an interview with Coverdale and Vandenberg all for the DVD.
In addition to that box, there will be a 2CD Deluxe Edition, a 2LP Deluxe Edition, a single CD of the original album with the new remaster, and the DD copies. On August 15, the 2019 “B-side” single release for “Sweet Lady Luck” will be made available, followed by “Fool For Your Loving” (Vai Voltage Mix) on September 6, and “Now You’re Gone” (Chris Lord-Alge Single Remix) planned for September 27.
