After eighteen years, the (almost) original lineup of The Smashing Pumpkins will release a brand new album of music. (Bassist D’arcy Wretzky is absent due to inability to come to agreements. Jeff Schroeder) The new album will feature eight new Corgan-penned tracks.
On November 16, the ponderously titled Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. will be released to the world on CD, DD, and vinyl LP. Currently, there are two singles in release. The first, “Solara”, was released in June. The new one, “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)” is just issued (hear both below).
