Doors fans have consistently been rewarded with updates on their favorite albums from the short-lived but legendary band. From 1965 though 1971, with the last two albums (Other Voices – 1971, Full Circle – 1972) without Jim Morrison. The six Doors classics with Morrison have all  charted into million-selling Platinum territory. And all Morrison sets had powerful singles built into them.

On September 14, Rhino will reissue the celebratory 50th Anniversary edition of The Doors‘ 1968 classic, Waiting For The Sun in a box with 2CDs and the vinyl LP edition. The album is newly remastered and will contain fourteen bonus tracks that include nine rough mixes of the songs, as well as five 1968 live tracks (see list below).

On January 11 in 2019, Elektra will reissue The DoorsWaiting For The Sun in a 50th Anniversary 2CD set with the fourteen bonus tracks, a single CD with the original album, and a stand-alone vinyl LP of the original album.

A great set of choices!
