Since the early ’90s, the psychedelia of Spiritualized has been a part of the essential fabric of the emerging expansion of Rock and Roll in the new Millennia. The music has become as bold as the past, if still largely derivative, but taking the old styles to new places nevertheless. And here at MusicTAP, I like my Spiritualized music.

With just seven studio albums, and two live sets in all that time, the band (which has filtered through a lot of members with Jason Pierce to map out the entire progression (from start til ‘to date’), Spiritualized has ensured that quality permeates their music. Their last album was Sweet Heart, Sweet Light, released by Fat Possum Records (US) in 2012.

On  September 7, Spiritualized will release their newest album using the classic Kurt Vonnegut quote from Slaughterhouse Five as the new album title, And Nothing Hurt (I LOVE this!), stylized as visual Morse code on the cover. And Nothing Hurt  features nine new tracks. The new album is being released by Fat Possum Records in the US, and Bella Union in the UK.

And Nothing Hurt is preceded by a new single, “I’m Your Man” (hear below).

And Nothing Hurt is being released on CD, DD, vinyl LP, and a Deluxe Vinyl LP Box with orange vinyl.
