By and large, I’ve lost an immense amount of faith in the institution of Saturday Night Live , especially where its weekly introduction of music is concerned. Primed with the need to air already popular displays of Pop, they’ve forgotten their past in introducing remarkable fresh talent. But every once in a while, they do get it right, Courtney Barnett is one of those instances.
If you’re a consistent voyager of the internet where music is concerned, chances are quite high that you’ve run into Courtney Barnett already. She has an incredible quality to her sound, which can be endearing to some if the songs are well constructed, as hers are. Courtney Barnett recently collaborated with Kurt Vile from The War on Drugs band (another excellent new band) for an album just as good.
On May 18, the beautiful Courtney Barnett will release her newest album since her wonderful 2015 debut, Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. Her newest album is being called Tell Me How You Really Feel. The new album has a pre-release single out in the wild (hear below), “Nameless, Faceless”. The new album contains ten new Courtney Barnett tracks. If the new song is an indication, us fans should be pleased.
Tell Me How You Really Feel is planned for CD, DD, Cassette, and limited edition purple colored vinyl LP. It is being released by Milk! Records in Australia, and Mom+Pop Records in
