Rush has had no lack of fans over the course of their long-running tenure. With nary a change in personnel, or a disruption in creativity, Rush has maintained a solid fanbase. During their heights, they sold several million copies of 2112, and four million units of Moving Pictures. Rush sold platinum through 1991 with Roll The Bones. Even afterwards, during a period of drastic change and interest, Rush never sold below Gold status, their last being Clockwork Angels from 2012. But it was officially A Farewell To Kings that gave them the legitimate push into Top40 radio with the release and acceptance of “Closer To The Heart”.

On December 1, the band celebrates the 40th anniversary of A Farewell To Kings with a massive and lavish edition of a Super Deluxe Edition Box of the classic album.

The SDE Box will provide 3CDs (original album with 2015 remaster, and a complete show from the Dec , a high resolution 5.1 Surround and a Stereo set of mixes by Steven Wilson on a BD-Audio disc (and three videos), 4LPs of high quality 180g-weight vinyl (and an included DD rights card). The beautifully redesigned cover on the box and more bonuses inside include a unique Kings Ring held within a custom velvet pouch, a richly designed book with photos, a massive essay, notes, credits, memorabilia, two newly designed lithographs, three baseball cards, a 12″ turntable mat, and a replica A Farewell To Kings tour program.

But if all of that definiteness is too rich for you because you’re not THAT great a fan, or you simply refuse to spend that kind of money, then here are several other configurations of this new set.

There will be a three CD set that will contain the same content found on the 3CDs within the SDE. There is also a separately available 4LP set. And as usual, there is DD availability.
