Since 1985, Phil Collins has been giving fans of Genesis a fair helping of Phil Collins solo hits and albums. With a literal swarm of hits, songs that charted quite high (and you know them all), and more than a few tunes that had enough traction to pleased ardent fans, it’s no surprise that there are ‘best of’ collections already available. In fact, there exists …Hits (1998), a single disc that highlights the strongest charters like “Easy Lover”, “You Can’t Hurry Love”, “Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)”, “Sussudio”, “In The Air Tonight”, and others. In 2004, a 2CD set with a variable mix of 25 Phil Collins arrived. It was called Love Songs: A Compilation… Old & New.
On October 14, a new 3CD collection will arrive vi Rhino Records called The Singles. Collected inside will be 45 newly remastered tracks that completely explores the run of success that Phil Collins has enjoyed outside the family business (Genesis). It’s a great blend of songs that will bring a nostalgic twinge to your heart as you remember the MTV-era tunes (see track-list below).
In addition to the 3CD set, there will be a pared down 2CD set, and a 4LP 180g-weight vinyl Box, both with 33 tracks.
