It looks as if the Jethro Tull/Steven Wilson machine is continuing to move right along, as expected. This time, the new updates from the catalog of Jethro Tull goes to Too Old To Rock And Roll: Too Young To Die! from 1976. That album followed Minstrel In The Gallery, and preceded the perfect Songs From The Wood (1977).
On November 27, two editions of Too Old To Rock And Roll: Too Young To Die! will be made available. Here are the breakdowns:
The TV Special Edition Deluxe will provide a previously re-recorded, but commercially unavailable version of the album planned for a 1976 UK television special. Of course, there will be a truncated original album release (with five tracks) as well as a series of demos, instrumentals, outtakes, and early takes. But, with Steve Wilson, you also get remixes that include high-resolution Stereo (96kHz/24-bit) and the always anticipated 5.1 Surround Sound (DTS, Dolby Digital).
The included book will be 80 pages with an in-depth essay, track by track annotations, lyrics, many photos, and much, much more related to the recording of the album and other things surrounding its release and presentation.
The housing is the usual attractive book-styled casing.
The 2CD/2DVD Edition is filled with many good things:
