ScaggsIn the course of 50 years, Boz Scaggs has released over 15 solo albums. From those albums, he has managed to get into the Top 20 with album sales, and singles popularity, particularly with his phenomenal Silk Degrees album. All of that success does not even begin to look at his years with Steve Miller as a bassist on Miller’s earlier LP releases. I’d say that Boz Scaggs has enjoyed a fine career.
Although Boz Scaggs has slowed down significantly, he hasn’t stepped out of the recording ring. His last album, Memphis, released in 2013, was a collection of songs that were largely covers. The album had two Boz Scaggs originals. It was well received.
On March 31, Boz Scaggs returns with a new album, A Fool To Care. This new album will contain twelve songs, and is being released via 429 Records. Joining him in the studio are two classic friends, Bonnie Raitt, and Lucinda Williams.
There is no word on whether an LP version of A Fool To Care will be issued along with the CD, and the DD versions.
