The psychedelic sounds from Vanilla Fudge were formed with Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Vince Martell, and Mark Stein. Their signature tune was “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”, and, of course, a few other gems that gave solid footing to the band. In their short-lived two-year peak, they produced five best-selling albums via Atco Records.

On September 27, Esoteric Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will release a 9CD Boxed set that will include newly remastered versions of the Vanilla Fudge Atco collection issued from 1967 through 1969 with Vanilla Fudge, and The Beat Goes On issued with both Stereo and Mono recordings. In addition, there will be 2CDs of a 1969 live recording from the infamous Fillmore West. Rounding out the offerings will be a collection of outtakes and rare singles. A booklet has been created that will add in an informative essay and some photos. The set will be known as Where Is My Mind? – The Complete Atco Recordings 1967-1969.

One thought on “Vanilla Fudge Remembered On 9CD Box – Where Is My Mind?”
  1. Looks like the Fillmore West concert is the same that was released on “Box Of Fudge” (which now goes for ridiculous money). I also believe this is the first release of the debut album’s mono mix on standard CD. It was issued on Hybrid SACD by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab a few years ago.
