The musical genius of Renaissance was formed by ex-Yardbirds Keith Reif (vocalist), and jim McCarty (drums). Rounded with vocals by Jane Reif (sister of Keith Reif), John Hawken (keys), and Louis Cennamo (bass), Renaissance took off quickly but by 1972, the original band including Jane Reif were gone and replaced by Annie Haslam and a new slate of musicians. They did well and had released nine albums into the early ’80s.

On August 30, Esoteric Recordings (Cherry Red UK) will further explore the music of second-generation Renaissance with a collection of captured radio broadcasts between the years of 1974 through 1978. These broadcasts feature more BBC and Swiss TV performance sets than were released on the Esoteric slate of original album bonus tracks for their reissue campaign. The box will feature 2CDs and a Blu-ray disc, all with 26 performance tracks. An illustrated and informative booklet is packed in.

The set will be referred to as Can You Hear Me – Broadcasts 1974-1978 and will see CD/BD and DD release.
