In this time, there is a vast reach of psychedelic music, with roots deeply from the past but dressed up as a current sound and phenomena. The results are the same. This is great news for fans of psychedelic music from the late ’60s who miss the innovation that the style brought with it, each more unique than the last. One of the current bands of this style is Elephant Stone. Elephant Stone is led by Rishi Dhir (who has spent time in a side project called Mien). The band hails from Canada and incorporates traditional popular Indian instruments like the sitar, tabla, and dilruba into the framework of psychedelic music. Elephant Stone has five studio albums in release.
On February 23 of 2024, Elephant Stone returns after three years to deliver their latest album – Back Into The Dream. Their new album will be filled with ten new tracks. One of the songs – “The Spark” – is currently in release and can be enjoyed below.
Back Into The Dream will be released on CD, DD, and two versions of color vinyl that include the Glow In The Dark Clear Yellow Splatter (Godstar Edition) LP, and a Blue and White hand pour (Dream Edition) LP. Both LPs are packed into gatefold jackets with glow in the dark print. There are bundles that include tees and totes. Both LPs come with DD rights included. Order here.
