Johnny Marr helped lead The Smiths to success through nine releases from 1984 to 1988. His five year run with the band, albeit short, was a monumental legacy and The Smiths thrived for it. After his time with The Smiths, he went on to other bands (The The, Modest Mouse, The Healers, Electronic, The Cribs) and also enjoyed a bit of a solo career (The Messenger – 2013, Playland – 2014, Call The Comet – 2018, Fever Dreams Pts 1-4 – 2022). Johnny Marr is an important guitar in our annals.
On October 2, Johnny Marr will return with a brand new studio album – The Age Of Everything. This album will deliver ten new songs. This set will be Marr‘s fifth and a trend that we hope continues. The lead-off single – “Spin” – from the new album can be heard below.
The Age Of Everything will be released on CD, DD, and two vinyl packages that will include standard industry black vinyl, and a Limited Edition Splatter vinyl LP.
