Adrian Belew has enjoyed a magnificent career in much of his lifetime. From his short but essential stints with Frank Zappa and with David Bowie, a time with Talking Heads, and an incredible extended period with a revitalized King Crimson that left behind an historic three albums. Then there are his solo career albums that tally up to 18 studio sets and four live sets. And he’s still in the thick of it with tours despite maybe having lost some relevance among newer listeners. But the rest of us who grew up with him find extraordinary and long-lasting value in his output.
On May 29, Esoteric Recordings will provide a 3CD box set that will include his three Atlantic Records sets (his first three were with Island Records). Those included in the box will be Mr. Music Head (1989), Young Lions (1990), and Inner Revolution (1992). In addition to the 3 albums package that will involve two bonus tracks, and an informative booklet with new notes, more photos, and credits. The set will be called The Atlantic Years 1989-1992.
The Atlantic Years will be offered on 3CD and DD.
