The world that we’ve left behind in a sorrowful way sometimes continues to operate effectively even when you’re unaware. For those of us that have loved the music of Goth and its appending scenes, we mourn many levels of bands that were firmly entrenched in the genre. Depeche Mode, The Damned, Siouxie and the Banshees, Lene Lovich, and more have filled our libraries full enough. But sometimes we miss a great band STILL in operation. One of the Goth circles excellent bands is one from Turkey – She Past Away. The band formed in 2006 and hit the vein directly. If you love goth, and you haven’t heard of She Past Away, then it’s time.
With three studio albums out, the band has garnered international attention. Recently, and unbeknownst to me (too much of not paying closer attention and I accept that blame), She Past Away released their fourth set – Mizantrop. Issued on February 6, is in full swing with 7 new tracks. The title track is out as a single issue.

Mizantrop currently has only a BandCamp digital release. But if that’s what we’re to get, then that’s what we’re to get. Here’s the link to enjoy the whole album (which can also be heard on streaming platforms).
I WILL say this…if you loved Goth during its many ’80s incarnations, then you will LOVE She Past Away. Listen to an old classic track, “Asimilasyon” below as well as “Mizantrop” from the new album.
