Johnny Cash is no stranger to anyone. And neither is his affiliation to Sun Records. In 1957, before his momentous signing with Columbia Records, Johnny Cash released Johnny Cash With His Hot And Blue Guitar!. What’s amazing about this debut that it contains important tracks from his career, tracks that include “Folsom Prison Blues”, and “I Walk The Line”. It is an important set to own from the man who would soon be known as The Man In Black.

On February 20, the second in a series of Sun Records Hi-Fi reissues (the first is Carl Perkins’ Dance Album) from Intervention Records will be the 1957 debut of Johnny Cash with his Johnny Cash With His Hot And Blue Guitar! This new vinyl LP reissue will feature a new Mono remastering of the original album (by way of sourcing from original tapes that contained each of the songs) by Kevin Gray. The set will be pressed onto 180g-weight black vinyl. The jacket has been faithfully restored. The packed in booklet will offer a new essay on Cash and this period.

This is an LP only reissue.
