Patti Smith was a champion of the Post-Punk era with her Horses set. Issued in 1975 via Arista Records, Horses began the career of Patti Smith with a bang. Her career produced eleven studio albums, the last in 2012. (We’re waiting for another, Patti!) Needless to say, her sets are legacy including the focus and power of Horses.

On October 10, Legacy Recordings will reissue Horses in a spectacular 50th Anniversary Edition that will provide 2CDs filled with a new remaster of the original album, and a handful of alternate takes, tracks from her RCA audition tape, and four previously unreleased songs that include “Snowball”, “Distant Fingers”, “The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game”, and “We Three”. “Snowball” was released today and can be heard below.

The 50th Anniversary of Horses will be celebrated with 2CD, DD, and 2LP (black vinyl) packages.
