After Badfinger sadly fell apart in 1975, Joey Molland helped formed a band adopting the name of Natural Gas as its moniker. It was prepared with Jerry Shirley (drummer) from Humble Pie, Peter Wood on keys, and Mark Clarke (bass/vocals) from Colosseum and Billy Squier. They released only one album, a self-titled effort with three singles that, unfortunately, never took hold in a changing market.
On May 30th, Iconoclassic Records will reissue the Natural Gas album with new remastering from recently uncovered original master tapes. the new reissue will offer the entire album with fresh audio, two bonus tracks that are pre-album demos. The rest of the CD is filled up with 8 performance tracks from a show at The dome in Grand Rapids, MI on August 14, 1976. The show was as an opener for the Frampton Comes Alive tour. A booklet is packed in with new liner notes and interview pieces with Frampton, Shirley, Clarke, and some earlier parts with Molland before his death in 2025.
Natural Gas will be reissued on CD and DD.
