A large part of The Who depended on the many talents of Pete Townshend. Although, Roger Daltrey was charismatic in every way, and attempted his fair share of solo works, it was Pete Townshend who succeeded on the enviable path of Top40 radio acceptance. Over the course of his storied career, Pete Townshend released seven solo efforts. Of those, Empty Glass (which spawned the worldwide hit single, “Let My Love Open the Door”, and White City were LP best-sellers.

On March 28, UMC will release an all-inclusive Box set that will collect all of Townshend‘s solo releases and include Psychoderelict (Music Only) in the package. The box will pack in a 28-page booklet that will include a new interview with Pete Townshend, more photos, credits, memorabilia, and added notes. The CDs will be packed into digipak cases. the set will be called The Studio Albums.

The Studio Albums will be issued in the 8CD Box, as well as DD (for download and for streaming).
