Tina Turner is no stranger to the classic crowd. Her turns with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, and her successful solo work has set her atop the pedestal forever. Recently, there has been updates and Anniversary sets for her classic sets that include Break Every Rule, and Foreign Affair. Both sets were worldwide hits. The album that started it all in the realm of successes was her most accessible set, Private Dancer. Released in 1984, this Capitol Records set pushed out more than a few singles including the worldwide hit, “What’s Love Got To Do With It”. 2024 was the album’s 40th Anniversary.

On March 14, Capitol Records will revisit this Tina Turner classic with 40th Anniversary Editions of Private Dancer releases. The collected set will cover 5CDs and a Blu-ray disc. the CDs will cover the original album, and plac a collection of B-sides, single edits, extended versions, and unreleased tracks. The BD offers an upgraded stereo mix of the album, bonus tracks, and a collection of promo videos. The full box will be slip-cased in a collectible box.

The 40th Anniversary of Private Dancer will be offered in 5CD/BD Box, 2CD, DD, and 1LP Blue vinyl, and 1LP picture disc. The Box will offer around 60 tracks. The 2CD set will provide the original album and a cherry-picked collection of 16 tracks culled from the extras of the 5CD Box.
