Genesis rose to prominence over the course of a few albums that included the magnificent The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, the 1974 album that was the last to showcase Peter Gabriel before his departure to solo waters. The album will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on November 22. The original album featured 23 songs over two LPs and four sides. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway has become a noted classic from the band that is as revered today as it was when it was originally released.
On March 28 of 2025, a remaster and remix to celebrate the album’s 50th Anniversary will emerge in several formats and in several varieties of presentation and delivery. there will be a 5LP Box that will include a BD-Audio disc with hi res mixes that will include Stereo and Dolby Atmos. A coffee-table book will be packed in with new notes, photos, and more goodies to bolster the value of the boxes. Bonus inclusions will be demos and outtakes from the sessions for the album as well as the January 24, 1975 live set from the Shrine Auditorium in LA. this will include the two encore performances tracks.
The 50th Anniversary Of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway will be released as previously stated in 5LP/BD-Audio and 4CD/BD-Audio Box sets as well as Digital Downloads.
