When you think about the old school of Rock, it’s not difficult to know that Iggy Pop was in the thick of it. And still is. His tenure with The Stooges yielded classic sets that include Raw Power, one of Rock’s great and underappreciated albums. It’s one I still listen to often.
On January 24 in 2025, earMUSIC will release a live set featuring Iggy Pop to be called Live At Montreux Jazz Festival 2023. Iggy Pop has never slowed down to any kind of crawl and this album showcases that intensity with 18 tracks of Iggy-infused songs that run throughout his career. you can listen to a track off the set below.
Live At Montreux Jazz Festival 2023 will be released on CD, DD, and 2LP. there will also be a Blu-ray video of the set, which should be excellent. What more can you ask for when it comes to Iggy?! The Blu-ray adds “Rune” and cuts “Death Trip”. Also available will be a CD/BD package.
