For me, The War On Drugs is one of the best bands on the planet right now. (Oh, to be sure, there are others; mine is a subjective love.) It’s been a few years since their great Atlantic Records issue, I Don’t Live Here Anymore. Released in 2021, this album delivers many well-crafted tracks including the title cut, which can be heard below. If you haven’t heard of The War On Drugs, consider his post to be your gift for the day. The Philadelphia-based The War On Drugs led by Adam Granduciel, has been around since 2005 with five studio albums and a live set to their name (for now). [Side note: Kurt Vile used to be a member of this band but I’m glad he’s gone, myself!]
On September 13, The War On Drugs will release a new live set that will feature 11 live tracks. Where they cull from is unknown to me at the moment. Previously, they released a live set called Live Drugs in 2020. This will replicate the feel of that album was we (hopefully) near the release of a new album in the near future. This new live set is being called Live Drugs Again.
Live Drugs Again will be issued on CD, DD, and two versions of vinyl LP. One will be a limited edition set stopped at 666 copies. Altogether, there will be a limited run of these LPs to 2500 copies.
