Rhino is one of the more exuberant labels that will get down and dirty to release quality issues of classic stuff. I love ’em! When they reissue a classic title, I’m usually there for it. They have a High Fidelity line for vinyl that encourages them to reach into many titles, remaster them, and then reissue them on the best quality vinyl that they can. One title on their page gives me a jump – Relayer. This 1974 issue that featured the arrival of keyboard wizard, Patrick Moraz became a fan favorite and is home to the track extract – “Soon”.
Out now, Rhino High Fidelity has a new remaster from original tapes (Kevin Gray) that os pressed on 180g-weight black vinyl. The gatefold jacket that it is housed in heavyweight material on glossy stock. The limited edition is allotted to 5000 copies each.
Rhino has also released the classic Bad Company self-titled debut in the same way. Both can be purchased at Rhino.
