Forming after a period of time with Kim Simmonds’ Savoy Brown, three members (Dave Peverett, Roger Earl, Tone Stevens) created a blues-rock band named Foghat. From their first album, Foghat started a rise in popularity that would net them 6 Gold albums and 1 Platinum album with 1975’s Fool For The City (Rock and Roll [2nd album] is woefully under-appreciated). The band would enjoy the popularity of 7 singles with their best-known one – “Slow Ride” reaching 20 on the singles charts of the day.

On April 5, a full run of a 1999 show in Texas, just before the tragic passing of Dave Peverett from kidney cancer. (This is likely the September 9th show at The Plaza in Houston. I saw the Galaxy Show in Costa Mesa in October of this year…and it was quite good.) The set runs through a collection of the more popular Foghat hits from the earlier years.

This small boxed set will contain CD/DVD, and will be issued as well in DD. The included DVD features HD-quality video of the same show. The box is called Slow Ride – Live In Concert! and is being issued via Cleopatra Records.
