Rick Wakeman has finessed keyboards with the likes of Strawbs, YES, and ABWH. He has also lent his expertise to David Bowie, Elton John, and many, many others throughout his incredible stretch of over 50 years in Rock. He gained an appreciable audience for his solo works after some time with YES, which brought his name into the galaxy emblazoned for all to see and recognize. In this solo arena, he has played to hundreds of thousands of audiences throughout, and released many solo sets. His ’70s output roamed well on the charts then, some resulting in high sales worldwide.
On February 23, Rick Wakeman will release an extensive Boxed set featuring two of his February 2023 shows at the London Palladium, both of which were sold out. The set will be called Live At The London Palladium 2023. The first of the represented nights feature music from his two popular solo sets, The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1973), and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and The Knights Of The Round Table (1975). The second night tackled the music of YES, along with music from Journey To The Centre Of The Earth (1974). Both are complete shows. “The YES Suite” is a new composition featuring memorable YES songs within a new Wakeman format.
Live At The London Palladium 2023 will be released on 4CD Box, and DD. They are issued with informative booklet with photos, credits, listings, and notes. They will be released via Rick Wakeman’s own Fragile Recordings (delivered via Esoteric Recordings/Cherry Red UK).
