Family, the UK band that formed in 1966 with mainstay Roger Chapman, and who had Ric Grech, and John Wetton within their ranks at times, released an enduring set of seven albums over a 5 year period. Their last was It’s Only A Movie. By the time of this album, the writing was on the wall for this cult psychedelic band. Family would dissolve the same year.
On January 26, Esoteric Recordings will unleash the final upgrade in the Family collection with It’s Only A Movie. This set will feature newly remastered tracks for the reissue, and add in an additional 19 tracks that are single edits, two separate sessions of 1973 BBC Live performance tracks, and previously unreleased studio outtakes. The 2CD package will pack in a feature-rich booklet with photos and a new essay. All told, this reissue set will provide 48 tracks for the Family collector.
It’s Only A Movie will be released on 2CD and DD.
