Tom Waits. If you’re a fan, you’re a fan. From his signing with Asylum Records that generated his debut set, Closing Time (which celebrates its 50th Anniversary, btw) on through his seventh album for the label (Heartattack and Vine (1980), he had steadfastly earned the love of fans of his style of music. He signed with Island Records for five more studio sets, and then with Anti- Records for every album after that, his last being Bad As Me (2011). Many of his albums have reached Gold status.

On June 30th, Anti- Records will reissue his first Asylum album, Closing Time with Half-Speed mastering from Abbey Road Studios to help Tom Waits celebrate the 50th of the title. Closing Time will be issued in two 2LP vinyl forms that include 2LP standard black vinyl, and 2LP Clear vinyl. Both sets will feature 180g-weight pressings. Both sets will be a limited edition one-time only pressing.

You can pre-order the 2LP title here.
