Here is a post that has neither an official announcement that a new YES album is coming, nor does it have a cover. But the rumors surrounding both probabilities are pretty strong and so we’ll do this one-off post for the sake of YES fans.

Roger Dean has teased drawing for a new cover in a YouTube video (here). Additionally, a secure date and title for an upcoming YES set has been posted by fans online and written about in online sites. And so with that, I’m going to go with the probability that we WILL be seeing a new YES album in 2023.

On May 18, Inside Out Music is expected to release Mirror To The Sky. It is expected to have 6 songs, meaning that the tracks are likely to be somewhat extended. It’s also said that a Deluxe Edition will slot in a bonus disc with three extra songs.

So…now that we’ve posted this, let’s hope that we get it. The date may change. I promise to go over this again when the album is officially announced.

YES currently is filled with Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood, Jon Davidson, and Jay Schellen. It is important to understand that Alan White would still be with YES, as would Chris Squire, if both were still alive. And while I cannot understand the intricacies of the Anderson/Howe issues, and why Jon Anderson (whose voice is in excellent form) is not in the fold. But there we are.

Developing…
