After finishing a round of the 1981 King Crimson tour, Fripp went to Washington Square Uniited Methodist Church in New York City to perform a week-long residency that featured his edgy Frippertronics. Of course, the music was recorded and is now going to become available in a great way.
On April 29, DGM will release a new album featuring selected tracks from that 1981 residency. The album is simply called Washington Square Church. It will contain eleven selections and will be presented on CD and an included DVD-Audio that will offer the tracks in Hi Res 24-bit/48kHz Stereo and DTS-HD Surround Sound in Quad 4.1. A separately available 200g-weight 2LP package will please the vinyl fans.
