It’s been a few years since singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Django Haskins released a collection of songs; 2018’s Shadowlawn was a sparse, angular and at times, dark gathering of material – a foreboding of what was to come? Perhaps.

Yet here we are in the start of the second year of the pandemic and this new cluster of 5 songs from Mr. Haskins is filled with brightness and uplift – and is the perfect tonic for the cloud that’s been over us all. Just to give you a taster – since there are only five songs – the opener, “In Afternoons”, performed with the always-amazing Skylar Gudasz, is a warming stunner; the song wraps you up in its sweetness and allows you a moment of pure feeling. And “Cutting Onions” is a beautifully wry acoustic masterpiece with the talents of legend Syd Straw to add further power to the vocal performance.

The two aforementioned tracks are worth the price of admission alone – click on the link below and purchase this – it’s the first release of this new year that’s going to bring you back up and help put things into focus again.

Beforetimes 1 will be available for download purchase as of Monday, February 28th, 2022.
