Formed in 2003, and currently with 13 albums to their name, this UK trio (Richard Talbot, Duncan Meadows, Jamie Crossley) of Marconi Union are a blend of electronica (’80s-like but with an absolute current feel) and layers of ambient textures. They have a ten-hour version of their most popular song – “Weightless” – on YouTube, which is amazing when you have the time.
On November 5, Marconi Union will release their next album, Signals. It will offer 7 new compositions with a slight change in scope of approach. The essence of Marconi Union is nonetheless still present in the music.
Signals is preceded by an impressive first single, “Strata”, which can be heard below. Signals is planned for CD, DD, and 180g-weight industry black vinyl 2LP. The 2LP set issues on December 10. Limited Edition vinyl 2LP exclusives will be issued in Silver-colored vinyl and packed with a 4-track bonus CD, and Crystal Clear vinyl.
