For more than 50 years, Carlos Santana has wowed the world with his guitar prowess and his songwriting ability. The band that has accompanied him over all these years may have undergone significant lineup changes but the effect that any of them left behind were warmly felt and remembered. For me, I can still hear the opening notes of “Black Magic Woman”, a Peter Green original covered to the hilt by Santana. I can still hear the notes of Caravanserai during his experimental jazz fusion. Carlos Santana last left us with Africa Speaks, issued in 2019.
With an upcoming 15-date tour in place, Santana is readying a brand new album. It will be called Blessings and Miracles. The new album is scheduled for October 15. A single from the album is expected later in the month of August so watch for that. We do not have a cover of the new album as of yet so we’re gonna go with the distributed Blessings and Miracles Tour artwork.
